Claris Virot

Claris Virot launched in 2014. Her first collections were exclusively made of python for the simple reason that this material was only used by luxury brands. The main idea was to desacralize the use of python by offering a range of products with interesting and more competitive prices than those applied by institutional houses while keeping an irreproachable quality. The advantage of python is that it can be processed in different ways: printed, plain or hand painted using natural pigments for colors with an extremely wide range of shades. Later on, equally noble skins such as lizard or crocodile became part of the collection, as did suede or leather used in for details and finishes of the pieces.

The Claris Virot brand puts a lot of efforts in offering a wide range of skins within her existing and newest collections. In 2020, she introduced the basket and later that year, she unveiled the new 100% leather line. Tanned, grained, smooth or tie and dye: the leather that she uses in all of her references, is handcrafted in the Balinese workshops. Since the creation of the brand, Clarisse made a point of honor to exclusively develop her products with a local partner and artisans who manufacture for her brand. That way, she is in complete control of her production process – handling the production of the skins from A to Z, all the way to the bag chain.

What you need to know on Claris Virot python

In Indonesia python is used as much for food as for its skin.

Claris Virot skins generally come from Indonesia where, as for beef around the world, python is used as much for food as for its skin. Claris Virot buys them from well-known dealers who give all the guarantees about their origin and the respect of the regulations in force.

Ethically-sourced

Claris Virot confirms that all goods are made from genuine and ethically-sourced python leather, imported in accordance with international laws protecting endangered species, and in particular, ‘CITES’ (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora), also known as the Washington Convention.

All Claris Virot products are handcrafted with care and skill.

The skins undergo a strict selection process. The distinctive features of each one, which may include irregularities or color differences inherent to their natural origin, make each piece unique. Python skin undergoes a special finishing process, which adds a touch of elegance and glamour.

With proper care and handling you will enjoy your Claris Virot for years to come :

  • Avoid moisture and excessive humidity.
